Question: Why ActiTrend Software started to develop new text editor XXLEdit when there are a lot of competitors out there?
Answer: There were some prepositions for that decision. Firstly, we made decision to develop a new product as an addon to our flagship product Informaizer. It has embedded blocknote but it lacks the power of full-featured word processing application. There is no modern RTF support. We believed that our users need such tool for maintaining different text editing tasks in their everyday practice. They need RTF to outline what they want easily. They need to do it fast because our users are busy people. On other hand many users has a need in HTML-supporting editing application, because HTML is using more and more frequently nowdays. So, we develop 2-in-1 application that supports both RTF and HTML thouroughly. Why to have two separate products for RTF and HTML editing when you could have only one!

Question: Why existing software not suitable for this purposes?
Answer: Existing software could be divided in two main categories: WYSYWYG word processing applications like MS Word and HTML/programmer-oriented text editors. Both types has pros and cons. MS Word is a powerful application itself but not ideal in the terms of work comfort. Besides it lacks of core HTML support (though enables HTML WYSYWYS editing, results of this work often unadequate in the terms of HTML effectiveness). Many modern text editors are more advanced in text editing itself. But there is no ideal too! This has confirmation in the fact that many new editors were developed recently.

Question: What makes XXLEdit different?
Answer: Editing capabilities it has or planned to be implemented makes XXLEdit really different. I must notice that we released first version recently. But even now we made a lot. General interface features include embedded tips, OneHintPlace, highly customizable TaskPane. Editing capabilities includes Smart Bracing, useful commands like Clone, Crop, Join lines, Normilize Spaces. Even more, we offer cut-copy functions without text selection! By default one line of text in used in this case. It's really rare feature and it's really handy. Another unusual possibility is additional hotkeys for cut-copy-paste commands (F2-F3-F4). One keystroke is more comfort then traditional combinations like Ctrl-C,V,X or Ctrl/Shift-Ins/Del. Other useful features I can notice are multiple recently used items, multiple clipboards, HTML support, quick RTF formatting tricks, etc.

Question: What are you waiting for in respect of XXLEdit promotion?
Answer: Definitely, we expect that XXLEdit will get some market niche... But naturally users have to have some time to realize the benefits XXLEdit brings. XXLEdit has a lot of features to be explored...
